Sometimes life moves so quickly that meaningful moments get tucked away in a folder, waiting for the right time to be shared.
About a month ago, I received my second recognition from MSN News. Between publishing deadlines, magazine production, writing, music projects, and the day-to-day responsibilities of running KL Publishing Group, I never took the time to stop and reflect on what the recognition actually meant.
The article described me as a “modern Renaissance woman,” highlighting my work across publishing, music, film, fashion, and advocacy. While I am honored by the recognition, what struck me most was seeing so many chapters of my life woven together into a single story.
For most of my career, I never set out to build a résumé that crossed multiple industries. I simply followed the work that inspired me.

One chapter led to another.
Music led to composition. Composition led to film. Film led to publishing. Publishing opened doors to fashion, journalism, photography, and media. Along the way, I discovered that creativity doesn’t live in neat little boxes. Each discipline informs the next. The storyteller, the composer, the filmmaker, the editor, and the publisher are all part of the same creative journey.
Looking back, I am grateful for every mentor, collaborator, artist, musician, writer, photographer, and friend who has been part of that journey. No meaningful accomplishment is ever achieved alone.
What began with a single publication has grown into KL Publishing Group that was co-founded by my mom Lee and I. It quickly become home to multiple magazines and editorial brands serving readers across fashion, music, arts, entertainment, and culture.” Through AGENDA and the growing family of publications produced by KL Publishing Group, I have the privilege of helping others tell their stories, share their expertise, and showcase their artistry. There is something deeply rewarding about creating platforms that celebrate creativity, innovation, and excellence.
The recognition from MSN is especially meaningful because it acknowledges not just one accomplishment, but an entire body of work built over decades. The music, the films, the magazines, the educational programs, the advocacy efforts, and the countless projects that often happen quietly behind the scenes.
What excites me most, however, is not looking backward.
It’s looking forward.

KL Publishing Group continues to expand, new publications are taking shape, and several exciting projects are currently in development. Some are already underway, while others are still waiting for the right moment to be unveiled. Let’s just say there are a few surprises on the horizon that I look forward to sharing very soon.
As I celebrate this recognition, I am reminded that the most rewarding part of any creative career is not the awards, rankings, or accolades. It is the opportunity to continue creating, learning, growing, and contributing.
For that opportunity, I remain incredibly grateful.
Thank you to MSN News for the recognition, and thank you to everyone who has supported my journey over the years.
The next chapter is already being written.
